D.I.Y (Do It Yourself) Editing
Are the DVD's DTS creates editable?
Since our DVD's are not encrypted, editing a transfer from a DVD-Video
disk is as simple as copying the video_ts folder onto the computer's hard drive,
renaming all the .vob extensions to .mpg, and importing the .mpg files into any
video editing software capable of editing mpeg files.
Editing MPEG-2 files is acceptable for most home-movie
desktop applications. When full uncompressed video and frame discretion are required,
Digital Transfer Systems offers three solutions for individuals looking to edit
their transfers.
